NAUI Wreck Diver Course

Wreck Diver (External Survey)

If you are at least 18 years old and have a NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver certification or the equivalent thereof, you can take a Wreck Diver (External Survey) course and start exploring sunken vessels, aircraft, and other amazing wrecks in the underwater world. During your training, you will learn about safety, hazards and cautions, special risks of overhead environments, entanglement, limited visibility, deep diving, equipment, location of wrecks, sources of information, search methods, underwater navigation, legal aspects, artifacts, treasure, salvage, archaeology, and much more.

Minimum age for this course is 18 years plus certification as a NAUI Advanced Diver or equivalent.

Curriculum

Academics have a duration of minimum 2 hours.
The course extends over a period of 2 days.
It includes a minimum of 2 open water dives.

What’s Next?

Divers who especially enjoy wreck dives will be interested in the full range of NAUI Technical Diving programs that extend the diving range beyond traditional recreational limits of depth and time. Technical divers explore overhead environments such as caves and shipwrecks, make dives in excess of 130 ft (40 m) and use specialized equipment depending on their personal goals and objectives.
