There are few things more enjoyable than arriving at the remote and little-visited beaches in Spain and pretending, if only for a second, that you are the first person to set eyes on this particular place and take in its beauty. Obviously, it will rarely be the case that you are, in fact, the very first person to see any particular stretch of sand, but this act of imagination manages to capture some of the joy of discovery.
