Keahi de Aboitiz Makes Wing Foil Surfing Look Way Too Easy

The Inertia

Surfing is a funny thing, isn’t it? A handful of people scowl down their noses at anything that isn’t done on a thruster while wearing a black wetsuit. Gatekeepers of fun, right? But then there are obscenely talented people like Kai Lenny and Keahi de Aboitiz who simply don’t care. They want to try new things, break new boundaries, and challenge the norm — and they want to do it by having as much fun as they can, no matter what the craft. They’re at the forefront of foiling, at the forefront of wing surfing (Keahi’s at the vanguard of kiting as well), and leading the way again in what very well may be a whole new sport.

Keahi, as you can see above, is unbelievably good at surfing on a foil with a wing in his hand. It’s a slowly-growing niche, and it’s slow growing for a reason: it’s really, really hard. But Keahi has it pretty much as dialed as one can, doesn’t he?
