Watch John John Florence and Kelly Slater Surfing the Surf Ranch Way Back in 2016

The first time John John Florence surfed Kelly Slater’s wave pool was a very long time ago. In 2016, to be exact, and the edit you see above has been hidden under a sheet all these years. Kelly was there, as you’d expect, and to see two of the best surfers ever to live surfing a supremely perfect (albeit man-made) wave is pretty amazing, to say the least.

Aether Films was there to document the day. “To capture this caliber of surfing,” they wrote, “we knew we wanted to use some speciality equipment that would deliver the perfect perspectives.
