Nose riding is pretty much the pinnacle of the longboarding experience. It’s the thing that most longboarders try and learn to do first, but it’s not easy. Good nose riders know that it’s a combination of two things, mostly: technique and equipment. CJ Nelson, a man who knows how to nose ride extraordinarily well, designed a surfboard called the Sprout that’s specifically built to make nose riding easier, and Josh Seemann recently took it for a spin. Seemann gives a thorough run down on how one should go about learning to hang ten — and it’s a whole lot of good advice packed into a few short minutes.
