Wide Angle category winner and Underwater Photographer of the Year: Rafael Fernandez Caballero (Spain)
UPY has announced the winners of the 2022 contest, naming Rafael Fernandez Caballero Underwater Photographer of the Year for his mind-blowing shot of five whale sharks attracted to plankton aggregating in the light from a boat. As usual, there are plenty of DPGers among the other category winners and runners-up, but it’s also wonderful to see many new names among the winners.
