The "Turtle" diver's watch was introduced by Seiko in 1977 and ran through the late 1980s. The Turtle gained a following, leading to its modern interpretation, the SRPE93. The SRPE93 features a similar stainless steel case design, with the case proud of the bezel, helping protect it from bumps and knocks. The bezel itself features one-way rotation with markings for elapsed timing. The black face has a day and date window at three o'clock, with a lume marking at that position added to meet new ISO standards for dive watches. The screwdown caseback houses Seiko's Caliber 4R36 Automatic Mechanical movement and is rated for 200m of depth, along with an ultra-durable silicone strap.
